In my role as Senior Content Writer & Senior Editor for Evergreen Media, I create copy for all six of our print publications—a process that involves storyboarding ideas, conducting interviews, research, and proofreading/editing each publication in its entirety before going to print. I work closely with other team members and guest contributors to ensure their work meets the company’s high quality expectations. Additionally, I have provided freelance print work for a variety of clients.

Black Hills Visitor is our legacy publication, established in 1984. This regional travel planning guide is printed twice a year and features information on the area’s most popular attractions, events, lodging, dining, shopping, and more.

Black Hills Parent is a quarterly magazine (circulation: 10,000) dedicated to providing area parents with local information that’s valuable and relevant to raising healthy, well-balanced children (infants to teens) while celebrating the joys of parenthood.

Southern Hills Vacation Guide is a collaboration with the four chambers of commerce in the southern region of the Black Hills offering visitors a guide of things to do, places to eat, and where to stay on their trip to South Dakota. It’s published annually.

Black Hills Bride is a local resource for brides-to-be that offers inspiration, ideas, tips, vendors, and profiles on real weddings. 6,000 copies are published annually and distributed at area bridal shops, bridal shows, retail stores, hair salons, coffee shops, spas, and more.

Impact Magazine is filled with discounts and money saving specials on shopping, dining, entertainment, services, and more. It is direct mailed to over 58,000 households and businesses throughout the Rapid City metro area and generates 100 percent market saturation.

Black Hills Coupon Book is both a coupon book offering exclusive savings on dining, entertainment, attractions, services, golf, shopping, and more, as well as a fundraising tool for local nonprofits. It’s published annually and allows residents and visitors to save on products and services throughout all Black Hills.

I was hired to produce a Welcome Packet for the Special Olympics South Dakota—Rapid City Flame organization, as well as athlete brochures for 11 different sports offered through the program.

Landa has been a leading manufacturer of pressure washers in North America since 1969. I was hired to write copy for a number of technical manuals and product brochures for both Landa and their parent organization, Kärcher North America.

As Senior Content Specialist for Fuel Medical, my job often involved creating advertising copy for many of the firm’s audiology and ENT practices across the U.S. These product, service, and branding ads were displayed in the practices and appeared in industry journals.
